Kårvatn 2011 (Ski Mountainnering Cup in Norway)
Kårvatn 2011: Ola Hovdenak (winner), André Jonson (2nd, left) and Ola Berger (3rd, right)On Saturday, 15th January, Ola Hovdenak (Norway) won the first individual race in the Cup at Kårvatn Farm (Todalen, Norway). It was a good technical trail with two climbs, two descents and 1760m uphill. Ola crossed the finish line with a time of 1h 50min 48sec, almost 5 minutes difference with the second and third racers, André Jonson (Sweden, 1h 55min 35sec) and Ola Berger (Norway, 1h 55 min 36sec). 40 participants from 6 nations attended the sart of the first event of the Cup.
Ski Mountaineering Cup in Norway
Ski Mountaineering in NorwayThis weekend is the start of the Ski Mountaineering Cup in Norway. It’s totally six competitions in different places in Norway, and the first at Kårvatn in middle of Norway.
Saturday 15th January is the individual competition with a mass start at 11:00 on Kårvatn Farm. Good technical trail up 4 climbs and 4 descents, totally 1600 meters climb.
Sunday 16th January is the team race with mass start at 10:00. Team races are not included in the cup.

The ISMF Management Committee of Izmir (TR) awarded the European Championship to Pelvoux (FR)
Great success for the ISMF Management Committee held in Izmir, Turkey's third largest and historically famous city.
Many topics were on the agenda presented by the president of the Turkish Ski Federation Alaattin Karaka, accompanied by his team of federal technicians.
11/04: Japan Championship in Tsugaike (JP)
The ISMF homologated ski-mountaineering Japan championship & Asia cup 2nd race was held in Tsugaike, Nagano, Japan on April 11th , 2010.
Although the racers were hampered by rain and fog, they followed the original 12-km course with its 1420 m vertical difference. The course passes through a dramatic forest at an altitude of 1500 m to 2000 m.

Zelenica, située d'une coté entre les murs de montagne Begunjščica au sud et la crête de Može et Vrtača au nord et de l'autre coté avec Stol et Srednji vrh à l'ouest; s'ouvre au même temps vers la vallée de Podljubelj à l'est et vers la vallée de Završnica à l'ouest.
