Vert180 and the SMCC Canadian Ski Mountaineering Cup (CA)

WELCOME TO THE EXPANDED SKI MOUNTAINEERING COMPETITION CANADA / COMPÉTITION de SKI ALPINISME CANADA CALENDAR!

I’m writing to invite all athletes and competitors from previous years – and volunteers, and friends, and sponsors, and just casual skiers – to the 2011 Canadian Ski Mountaineering Cup.

Our season is beginning early this winter, in Calgary with the Vert180 Relay and Enduro. Get up a team of 4 or 2 or come as a solo competitor for the best workout. You can ‘walk in’ at 4 p.m. at Canada Olympic Park this Saturday afternoon 27 November and go straight to the pre-race briefing. Here is the schedule for the Vert180 Saturday November 27th:

3:30-4:30 Registration at Canada Olympic Park in the main building follow the signs. Entry fee is $40 cash/person
4:40-5:15 Race meeting in the Cafeteria
5:30 Race Start
8:30 Race Finish
9:00 Awards

If you have registered by phone with the ACC 403-678-3200 ext. 108 you won't need to be at COP until 4:40

It will feature races like the Selkirk Classic, Tiki Torch Dash, Sunshine 5000, ROAM Randonnée Rally, Dogtooth Dash (our national championships), with new-to-the-calendar events added in Lake Louise and at Sun Peaks.
